Questions

We know that you probably have lots of questions and we are, of course, more than happy to talk through them with you but we have answered a few of the common questions below to help ease your mind. Of course, any other questions, please do get in touch  by completing the enquire form HERE.

What time will the car be there to collect me?

We aim to have the car or cars at your collection location 10-15 minutes prior to your confirmed departure time, so you know the cars are there & it’s time to finish getting ready

Is there room for a suitcase in the car?

Unfortunately no. The boot of each car isn’t large enough to take luggage as they’re designed for the carriage of the roof & windows once the roof is lowered.

How many people can each car carry?

Elanor & Evie can both carry a maximum of 4 passengers, while Bonnie is more suited to 2 passengers, as her front passenger seat is removed for easy access into the rear of the car

Can children travel in the car?

Only children 3 years or over are able to travel in the cars.

This is because the law says children under 3 must travel in a car seat, & as none of the cars are fitted with seatbelts, there’s no way to secure a child seat in the cars

Due to the age of the cars, seatbelts aren’t a requirement by the way

Do the Open Top cars have a roof in case it rains?

Yes, Elanor & Bonnie both have a retractable roof, which would always be raised for the journey to the ceremony location

Evie’s roof is a full time hard top, so remains up all the time

Can I have a car for my journey to the ceremony, & then have the car leave when I enter the building?

Yes, that’s fine

Our packages are bespoke for each couple’s needs, so we can create a package & cost for exactly what you want

Pictures with your partner after the ceremony & an ‘escape’ journey are a lovely thing to have on your wedding day, so we can chat about those options too

Do the cars have umbrellas?

They do indeed. Each car carries at least 2 umbrellas… just in case

How long do we have the car for?

If your wedding is in Church, the car stays outside, so it’s ready to take you on to your Reception Venue once photos outside the church are complete.

Once you’ve finished with the car on arrival at the Venue, then the car will leave.

If your wedding & reception are in the same place, & you’ve booked to have the car for photos after the ceremony & for an escape drive, we ask that this all happens as soon as possible after the ceremony.

This allows your Chauffeur to perform his duties with the car, returning you to the venue so your photographer can do their job too, & allow you to mingle with your guests before the start of your Wedding Breakfast.

This way things flow nicely, giving your guests time to ‘freshen up’ after the ceremony, before group photos begin

How fast do the cars go? Are they slower because they’re Vintage?

Actually, the cars have modern running gear, so although the Chauffeur will adhere to the speed limit, they can travel faster than you’d think

We do try to avoid motorway travel when passengers are in the car, where possible, but there are occasions where motorway travel is necessary due to access between locations
